Today I am pleased to bring you a guest post by Becky Jerams author of the fantastic Reasons To Love A Nerd Like Me. I loved her book and am happy that she will be one of my Author Tuesday participants. I am always interested in the inner workings of an author’s mind so I’m very happy to have Becky guest posting today.

What three characters do you wish you could hang out with?

There are so many amazing book characters in existence that it’s difficult to narrow it down to just three, but here are my picks for three people I would absolutely love to hang out with for a day:

1. Hermione Granger – Harry Potter

I love Hermione Granger. She is a strong, fierce, independent woman who isn’t afraid to show her intelligence or to stand up for herself. I think we would get on like a house on fire. I’d love to pick her brain and have long, interesting conversations with her over a Butter Beer or two. Then maybe we could go on an exciting adventure together (and let’s face it, I wouldn’t complain if Harry and Ron wanted to come along too).

2. Harriet Manners – Geek Girl

There are no words to express my adoration for Harriet Manners from the amazing Geek Girl series. She is hilarious, insanely smart, she wears Winnie The Pooh jumpers, she loves Japan and she throws herself into any situation despite her socially awkward tendencies. I feel like she is my soul sister. I want to go visit the Natural History Museum with her and hear all of her amazing facts, then watch her rock it on a fashion shoot! (Did I mention she’s also a model?!)

3. Becky Bloomwood – Confessions Of A Shopaholic

I was trying to think of a hot guy for my third choice (Edward Cullen? Christian Grey?) – then I realized that all the hot book guys I could think of would be incredibly dull and brooding and probably the most boring of people to hang out with for a day. Someone who isn’t dull or brooding however is the vivacious and incredible Becky Bloomwood from the series of Shopaholic books! OK she might be a little bit impulsive and get carried away with herself at times, and yes you wouldn’t want her to go anywhere near your credit card, but you would be sure to have so much fun with her that her little flaws wouldn’t even matter. I have no doubt that Becky would keep me laughing all day long and be a fiercely loyal friend forever. Plus she would be sure to pick out the BEST outfit for me if we went shopping together!

I hope you like my picks! And be sure to tweet me your top three characters at @beckyjerams 🙂
