Today’s Top Ten Tuesday is Top Ten Bookworm Delights. I had such a hard time narrowing down this list! I love everything about books so this was a difficult post to write. In no particular order here are my top ten favorite things about being bookish.
The feeling you get when you hold and open a book for the first time. You know you are in for an adventure but not sure where it will lead, but the tactile feeling pulls you in.
That books can take away negative feelings in my life. I can take a break from worrying about my stuff and focus on someone else’s.
That one book. You know the one, it sucks you in and doesn’t let you go and you are thrilled about it.
Your fandom. People who do not think you are totally weird for knowing way too much about fictional people and embrace it with you.
Introducing people to your favorite books and them liking them.
Losing time reading. Many a night has been spent on my couch curled up with a book only to close it and blink at the clock and wonder how it is that time already.
That one character. The one who is everything to you. You know they are fictional but it really does not matter as they are perfect.
Easy access to books. I take for granted that I will always be able to read something. Between Amazon, my Kindle, the library and friends I can read a new book whenever I want to.
That amazing feeling when you get the book you have been waiting for since you first heard about it.
All the feels. I love when I feel with a character, not just for them. Even if it is a sad book, I love that sense of connection.
So that is my list of ten 2016 bookworm delights. What are your top picks?
