Welcome to my weekly wrap-up! Here is where you can see my books read during the past week, books to be read next week, books I have added to my shelves, any bookish happenings and the like. I have linked to Stacking the Shelves, the Saturday Situation, the Saturday Review of Books, Talk of the TownBought, Borrowed & Bagged, The Sunday Salon, Caffeinated Book Reviewer’s Sunday Wrap-UpIt’s Monday! What Are You Reading? and Mailbox Monday. So check out what I’ve been up to this past week.

Books Added This Week

Yup, nothing added this week. I am still planning my BEA books into my reading/review calendar so I stayed far away from Netgalley and Edelweiss this week. I still have some books pending at both sites, so we will see what next week brings. It’s actually kindof nice to not be adding to my already crazy stack.

  2. Wow, you got a lot of reading done this past week! That’s awesome. I did fairly well on books, I suppose, but not near your amount. I am trying to weave in BEA books, like you said, and that definitely means trying to stay away from Netgalley! haha

  3. Last Call and The Girls in the Garden both look really good… and nice BEA wrap up post! Sounds like a lot of fun, although I don’t know if I’d love the lines. Still the books… 🙂 I see lots of people got Liane Moriarty’s new one, I’d be curious about that.

Have a great week and happy Memorial Day!

  4. I’m also trying to take a break from acquiring new review copies. I have plenty on my plate right now.

I can’t believe I never noticed your United States of Books project till now. What a fun idea! I will be following with interest. I’m doing a much smaller version with “Reading New England” and I just read lots of Vermont books. All of them were better than Songs in Ordinary Time, it sounds like.

  5. Wow, I can’t believe you read so many books… very impressive! I think 4 is amazing. 3 is normal… (for me).

And yes, I can understand needing time to factor in those BEA hauls!

  6. Another fabulous week of reading and blogging:). I will be reading Last Call at the Nightshade Lounge this week, so I’ll be interested to learn your take on it. Happy Memorial Day and take care.

  7. Yay for no books! I need to have a vacation from book acquiring for a bit but so far I haven’t been great about it. The Lisa Jewell book looks so good. She’s an author I’ve been wanting to read and that one has really caught my attention. Have a great week!

  8. I used to blog all the time and am just getting back into it after having two kids but oh my gosh! I can’t believe how much you’ve read and posted! I couldn’t find the time right now lol. I have seen a little bit about a lot of those books but haven’t read anything yet. They look interesting, though 🙂 Happy reading to you!

  9. Kathy Martin

You read a bunch of good ones. I’m trying to limit new additions too because I want to devote my summer to reading down my TBR mountain. As I’m browsing there I’m finding books I didn’t remember I had. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  10. Seriously new books and new authors come out to quickly, it is so easy to fall behind. I have never heard of The Girls and now it seems every blog is discussing it.

    Enjoy your week.

  11. Hi!
I’ll be starting Girls In the Garden by Lisa Jewell this week! I LOVE her writing!
To be honest, I don’t now HOW you are able to read “9” books in ONE week??? WOW!!! I’ve NEVER been able to do that, and I don’t have ANY other responsibilities! You must read super fast??
I am trying to get through one book that is very popular right now, I don’t want to give out the name yet because I am having a really hard time even enjoying it. It has to do with WWII, and it’s fiction, but it’s taking me FOREVER to read it! The author is just not talented in grabbing the reader, in MY opinion. I’ll manage through it, but everytime I open it, I get sidetracked because I can’t focus on it! Wish me LUCK!
