Stacking the Shelves – October 17, 2015

Hello Hello! I’m back. So China was wondrous and breathtaking and made me realize that I take actual toilets and hand soap totally for granted. Here are some of the 1500+ pictures my hubs took. Enjoy them then go check out the rest of Stacking the Shelves.

In the first pic (top left) you can see my purple/blond hair and then on the Great Wall pic my kiddo is the one running on the top in the blue hoodie.

From Amazon
carryon

Carry On by Rainbow Rowell – So a dear friend and I share an Amazon Prime account and I woke up this morning to find this on my Kindle! She is the best and this may be the first thing I start to read during Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon today.

From NetGalley

corner

Second House From the Corner by Sadeqa Johnson – The story of a stay at home mom and long buried secrets. Sounds like it’ll be a good read.

road dribbling

The Road to Little Dribbling by Bill Bryson – I really enjoy Bill Bryson. I have three of his other novels and have read most others. This is a follow up to Notes From a Small Island which is one of the three I own so I’m excited to read this one.

passenger

The Passenger by Lisa Lutz – I liked the synopsis on this one so much I requested and received it from both NetGalley and Edelweiss, not realizing it was the same book. Here is what sold me. In case you were wondering, I didn’t do it. I didn’t have anything to do with Frank’s death. I don’t have an alibi, so you’ll have to take my word for it…
Forty-eight hours after leaving her husband’s body at the base of the stairs, Tanya Dubois cashes in her credit cards, dyes her hair brown, demands a new name from a shadowy voice over the phone, and flees town. It’s not the first time.

So what are you excited about this week? Did any of my picks make your TBR?

  1. I’m so jealous about your China trip! Even with the toilet and handsoap issues lol!

Great book haul. The Passenger, and Second House From The Corner sound really interesting – I’ve added both to my wishlist 🙂
