Books Added This Week
From Book Tour
The Heir And The Spare by Emily Albright. I saw this on so many lists for anticipated debuts so I was very happy to be able to review it for the tour. – Going all the way to England for college–to Oxford, no less–for college would be exciting enough. But no sooner does Evie set foot on English soil than she falls for a boy who turns out to be a real prince–in fact, second in line to the throne of England.
From TBTBSanta
All of these are new to me authors. I have heard good things about each of these so I can’t wait to dive itn. Thanks so much to Jaz @BooksBarksBrews!
Daughter of Smoke & Bone by Laini Taylor – Around the world, black handprints are appearing on doorways, scorched there by winged strangers who have crept through a slit in the sky. In a dark and dusty shop, a devil’s supply of human teeth grown dangerously low. And in the tangled lanes of Prague, a young art student is about to be caught up in a brutal otherwordly war.
Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi – You can’t touch me,” I whisper. I’m lying, is what I don’t tell him. He can touch me, is what I’ll never tell him. But things happen when people touch me. Strange things. Bad things.
Angelfall by Susan Ee – It’s been six weeks since angels of the apocalypse descended to demolish the modern world. Street gangs rule the day while fear and superstition rule the night. When warrior angels fly away with a helpless little girl, her seventeen-year-old sister Penryn will do anything to get her back.
